AE Performance’s 370Z  takes home another win running a 155.534 in the stock RWD class driven by Paul Dentice. The AE GT2 finished third place in modified RWD class running a 148.381 driven by Rich Taylor which was good enough to take second place in overall points for the session. This was a great end to the session for us at AE Performance, we are looking forward to next session.

AE Performance 996 Turbo/GT2 Full Exhaust System

This new system by AE Performance maintains the use of the factory or after market exhaust tips.

Entirely comprised of T304 Stainless Steel, TIG welded & mandrel bent throughout.

This system utilizes a massive 4.5″ X pipe section that not only balances the exhaust banks for a cleaner sound note, but speeds up exhaust gas flow for increased performance.

HJS Catalytic Converters complete the exhaust package by offering OE cleaning characteristics (SMOG Compliant) with the highest flow possible for minimal power drop throughout the rev range. These HJS High Flow Catalysts have been tested to be more than 90% free flowing when compared to a straight through pipe.

Paul Dentice in the AE Performance 370z takes 1st at Spring Mountain

Spring Mountain was a first for the AE crew and with 18 turns it was anything but easy to figure out the fast way through the course, but fortuneately NV locals including Mike and the Double Down crew were super cool in lending a helping hand.

On track the car felt rock solid. The AE preped JIC dampers allowed for late apexing and a planted rear end through the high speed sections even with the old tires we were on. (3 track days).

We switched to Ferodo RS3000 pads for our AP brakes that ended up being a bit too aggressive in the rear but a quick swap to a milder Mintex pad in the rear settled the car much more and was easier to keep stright under hard braking.

Heat was a major issue for everyone. With the Oil Cooler upgrade we were still only able to complete 1 hot lap before the oil temps hit 280deg and the car wouldn’t rev past 5k rpm’s.

After all was said and done, We were all really impressed with the Z. With viturally no power mods out-side of a Stillen intake and Mine’s Flash we were solely relying on the Z’s chassie to pull through for us and it did! Rich placed 5th in Modified RWD Class in the GT2, GTR (DNF),and I grabbed top honors in SS RWD class with the Z, and was able to make the 4.5hr drive back to the OC without a hick-up.

More Camber (SPL or equilviant)
More Cooling (Twin Setrab’s)
More Powa! (AE Exhaust, AE down pipe’s, Pulley, etc)

The AE Performance GT2 took 5th place in the Modified RWD class running a 2:35.5 driven by Rich Taylor

This was a very tough class with a lot of fast cars and good drivers. After trying to learn the long 18 turn track on saturday Rich was able to scrub another 3 seconds off his lap time for the time on sunday putting him in 3ard place after the first time attack session. For the second time attack session Matt andrews and JC Meynet were able to beat their previous times putting the AE GT2 in 5th place.

Breaking in the new OS 88 6 speed sequential gearbox in the AE Performance R32 GT-R getting it ready for the next Redline Time Attack at California speedway.

After a long day of practice we thought we would spoil our selfs with some nice steaks:)

We were unable to get the car set up right but still had lots of fun at the time attack. We ended up placing 5th in the modified rwd class running a 132.270. There were a lot of fast cars this time around, it was a very good turn out.

I HAVE DECIDED TO GO A NEW ROUTE WITH MY E46 M3. I HAD THE CAR SET UP FOR TRACK, BUT SINCE I PURCHASED A NEW TRACK CAR I WILL BE CHANGING THIS ONE INTO SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT.
